The Washington Obamost Fires a Rocket in Pelosi’s War

by Sam Pierce on Aug.22, 2009, under Libiocracy, Marx Worshipping Libiots, PC libiots, Terrorist Apologists

It will surprise no one that has paid attention to the obvious slant (or perhaps plunge off the leftist cliff) of most traditional media outlets, that The Washington Obamost (formerly known as The Washington Post), is doing its part to assist Shrieker of the House Nancy Pelosi in her war. The fact that we have become accustomed to the actions of these media mutations does not lessen the magnitude of their harmful “reporting”.

Think about the object of Pelosi’s war. Consider the potential effects of a Pelosi victory, with the aid of a sorry excuse for a press like The Obamost, over her adversary. How far will the media minions of the left go in their quest to protect Princess Pelosi from her own stupid statements (made between face stretching procedures) and to destroy the intelligence gathering capability of our nation?

Is this the result of the “Woodstock” generation’s rise to power? The Bill Ayers’ (mentor to Obama) of the world are now in positions of educational and political authority. National security or at least the agencies that preserve it are sitting ducks, trapped in the cross-hairs of the leftist hippy freaks that have infested our institutions and given the recent elections, hold unchecked power.

To protect Pelosi with the bonus effect of slamming the CIA, The Obamost proudly endangers our security in today’s “report”, “CIA Used Gun, Drill in Interrogation“. While the reaction of a normal American, to such a headline, might be something along the lines of “Good, they ought to use everything including the kitchen sink, but why the hell is this being reported?”… the sick and twisted left will surely point to these interrogation tactics and demand a further weakening of our defenses.

What Passes For A Leader

by Sam Pierce on Jun.22, 2009, under Libiocracy, Marx Worshipping Libiots

Some days the news is depressing. Some days the news is outlandish. Some days the news is funny. Every day the news about President Barack Obama leads a rational person to wonder if the “reporters” are auditioning to be replace the bumbling fool that currently attempts to be his spokesman.

At least Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have been out of the headlines recently. What is wrong with the Nevada electorate? If they are not careful they will become as embarrassing as the electorate to which I belong (Illinois.) No need to wonder about the mental state of those that consistently vote for the queen of excessive face lifts, as she represents San Francisco. The San Francisco 49ers (up until the mid to late 90s) provided some redeeming value.

It is hard to imagine any of the greatest comedy writers of the last century being able build the sort of unsavory, bumbling, dishonest, clownish, and artificial characters as those who currently populate the leadership of our government.

Right and Wrong Do Not Exist

by Sam Pierce on Dec.20, 2008, under Libiot Rebublicans, PC libiots

Apparently the notions of right and wrong are antiquated symbols of a time gone by. These words would seem to be integral in the principles which guide private citizens and elected officials… at least in a long gone era in which principles mattered. Today we dwell in the environment of bipartisanship (translation: agreeing with Democrats) at all costs and moderation (translation: agreeing with Democrats) as a means to political victory.

In the wake of the Republican Party’s presidential election loss, we have been bombarded with calls to become moderates or put another way, to become the candidate that lost. The intellectuals believe that any future Republican candidate can only succeed if he or she can’t appeal to the base. Perhaps this seemingly contradictory philosophy is an indicator of a deep-rooted flaw in modern politics, a lack of principle.

This post was inspired by my search for information regarding Obama’s nominee for transportation secretary, Rep. Ray LaHood (R-IL.) I know “Big Brother” Barry said he would have Republicans in his administration, but I couldn’t imagine the type of Republican (other than the RINO that is all too common) that would embrace a position in the Obama Administration. I have read things about Rep. LaHood’s voting record with which I disagree, but didn’t see anything too alarming. That is just his voting record. Today I read an article from the AP in The State Journal Register which triggerd an alarm.

“We trash each other and end up making the institution look bad,” he once said. “That’s why Congress’ approval ratings are so low.”

Although LaHood once served on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, he has less experience in transportation issues than other contenders Obama was said to be considering, and many industry experts — even in LaHood’s home state — were hard-pressed to say where he stood on specific issues.

So Congress’ approval ratings are so low because Republicans and Democrats disagree and sometimes make those disagreements public? The approval rating would be better if they all just got along, issues be damned? The approval rating is what matters? That might be part of the problem, Representative LaHood! The two excerpted paragraphs give the impression that Rep. LaHood is one of the “bipartisanship for political gain” Republicans who shun the quaint notions of right and wrong and that Obama needed another Republican to appear bipartisan. I suppose this the politics of change.

What has Congress accomplished? Let me rephrase that. What good has Congress accomplished? Has Nancy Pelosi “drained the swamp?” Were promises kept? Perhaps the answers to those questions might shed some light on the roots of the low approval rating, if that is what is important.

Does my desire to hear honest positions from politicians indicate some form of insanity or mental illness on my part? (In case you are curious, massaging the position to fit the audience is an indication of typical political dishonesty.) Is winning elections all that matters? Are we expected to believe that the path to victory is in the shadow of our opponents as we mimic their actions? Even if this insane strategy were to succeed, what would be won?

Life is naturally complicated, our government need not be. This is not to say that there aren’t difficult decisions to be made by those that govern, but there are guidelines that if followed should inform every decision. Take the federal government that has grown out of control and bloated beyond anything our founders likely envisioned in their worst nightmares. We have a Constitution and it provides a set of guidelines. If a decision does not fall under the enumerated powers granted the federal government in this document, then that decision should not be made.

Am I wrong? Are people that know the right people and can sell themselves so much more capable than an average citizen? If not, then the grotesque and increasing intrusions of government into our lives cannot be justified. Doing the right thing might be difficult, but it does not have to be all that complicated. By the way, doing the right thing does not include forcibly taking the resources of one to buy the votes of another.

Bailout Vs. Enema

by Sam Pierce on Oct.01, 2008, under Libiocracy, Libiot Candidates, Marx Worshipping Libiots, Socialist Libiots

I am a huge fan of The Three Stooges and regret using them as I am about to. When I see the congressional libiots from the party of the jackass guffawing about the current financial situation (largely of their own creation), I get an image of The Stooges in my head. Now I’m not an Obammunist elite, so please excuse my Stooges reference. The episode, “A Ducking They Did Go” has a scene, if I remember correctly, in which Larry, Moe, and Curly (in my mind Chris, Nancy, and Barney) are in a boat trying to shoot some ducks. One of the congressional stooges accidentally shoots a hole in the bottom of the boat in the name of “affordable home ownership” for people that can’t afford to buy homes. The boat begins to take on water and when the congressional stooges notice the impending disaster, one of them decides to bailout the boat with another shotgun blast to the bottom of the boat. The idea is that he or she created a hole for the water to flow out.

President Bush and Secretary Paulson should be out there with Barney, Nancy, and Chris… as should be many other Washington D.C. mainstays, but there are only three in any given episode.

I suggest that the stooges in D.C. not be allowed to unleash a problem perpetuating or even expediting bailout upon the citizens they are supposed to represent. We need something other than a bailout, something that will correct the problems created in our capitol. This situation requires a solution, perhaps something like soap and hot water, that can flush out the government placed economic impactions. As I’ve previously said, “D.C. needs and enema!

Career politicians that peddle influence and retain their seats by bringing home the bacon (pork) or furthering the metastasis of socialism through policies that grow a dependent electorate are a huge portion of the problem. Again, I’m a common man, not an elitist purveyor of Obammunism like Roger The Commenter or any of Barack’s unofficial campaign staff in the media, so I have to rely on common sense here. The Barney Fwank’s, Nancy Pelosi’s, etc. are only part, albeit a large one, of the waste that that should be pumped from D.C. (now I’m thinking septic tank.)

The policies and laws that have been put in place to help the little guy (or to harm the big guy) and have negatively impacted the economy should be flushed out. The harmful consequences may have been unintended as the fools that put them forward may have believed that they were doing the right thing, but there is a saying regarding the paving of “the road to Hell.” Some of the harm may be as intended, put forth by Marxist politicians that seek to equalize outcomes by eliminating opportunity. Some of these may have been offered by legislators and executives with an Obammunistic idea of “fairness.”

Deregulation, Roger, is not the problem. Oppressive and ridiculous regulation, is indeed among the impacted fecal material that needs to be removed from our government! Sarbanes-Oxley forces companies to waste precious time and resources ensuring compliance, thus reducing productivity. Outlandish corporate taxes provide an incentive for companies to do business elsewhere. Capital gains taxes discourage investment.

Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer, and Barney Frank are all on the record praising Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines, and the value of providing what amounts to high risk loans… in the face of warnings from the very people on who the Dumbocrats are now pinning this “crisis.” These GSEs and harmful policies such as the socialist CRA should be cleansed from the system, along with their defenders!

If our bloated government insists on addressing the financial “crisis,” they might be well served to consult “The Common Sense Fix” as being promoted by Dave Ramsey. Our excuses for leaders should do something that makes sense or do nothing at all. How about “first, do no harm?”

Here’s hoping that the electorate burns up the phone lines and e-mail servers on Capitol Hill until the elected representation begins to listen. Here’s also hoping that the electorate brings enema bags to the polls on November 4.

Congress Could Prove Useful, Despite Pelosi

by Sam Pierce on Jun.14, 2008, under Libiocracy, Marx Worshipping Libiots, Socialist Libiots

There are two discharge petitions currently in the U.S. House of Representatives of which the leadership would prefer you not hear. These petitions would force Bela Pelosi to allow two important bills to come to the floor for a vote. Discharge petitions require 218 signatures, so please go to the links provided to find out if your congressman has signed these important petitions.

The first petition is for The Broadcaster Freedom Act, HR 2095, which would permanently stop any attempts to reinstate the ridiculously named “Fairness Doctrine.” Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) has successfully gotten a one year ban on the free speech silencing doctrine. Unfortunately that temporary ban is about to expire. Click on the picture below to see who are the spineless libiot hypocrites that agreed to the one-year ban but refuse to sign the discharge petition to bring the permanent bill to the floor. The picture links to a site aptly called hypocrisycaucus.com.

Hypocrisycaucus.com

The second, but obviously no less important discharge petition is for HR 3089, “The No More Excuses Energy Act of 2007.” My congressman, John Shimkus (R-IL) has signed this petition, has yours? Didn’t Pelosi and her fellow libiots make fuel prices a part of their 2006 campaign? Well they have certainly impacted the cost of fuel. I suppose the folks that supported the Democrat takeover sought higher prices. So  if you think paying $4 a gallon is the right thing to do, you may want to disregard this petition. If you would like Congress to do its job instead of acting as an obstinate blockade to the achievement of the best interests of the citizens it supposedly represents, you may want to ask your congressman to do just that! You may want to call or e-mail his or her office and ask why he or she isn’t doing the right thing. You may want to inquire as to who he or she serves, you or Pelosi the libiot dominatrix.

Power to the People” can be a reality. We can need to remember who pays the salaries and provides the perks for the elected representatives. Here’s a radical thought… how about we demand that our representatives represent us!
