“Summer lovin’, had me a blast…Summer lovin”, happened so fast…”
Roughly 30 years after the movie “Grease” hit the silver screen, the lyrics from one of its songs have renewed meaning. This Summer Americans are witness to a great romance between the parrot press and Barry Obama.
(I began this post last night and today I was listening to the podcast of yesterday’s Laura Ingraham Show, during which they beat me to the punch and played a snippet of “Summer Lovin’.” So I will include a portion of another appropriate song.)
“If lovin’ you is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.”
There is little risk of the amore stricken media ever being “right.” “Journalists” from all forms of traditional media seem to be experiencing something similar to the “tingle” that runs up Spitball’s Chris Mathews’ leg at the sound of Barry Obama’s melodious (or is it malodorous?) voice. It must be love if so many reporters can view this man as an inspirational and eloquent speaker. They say love is blind, but it must also be deaf because unless he is reading a prepared speech, the media’s Messiah can’t seem to string three words together. Not to mention the fact that he is completely disassociated from the truth or reality and it doesn’t seem to register with the fawning, eyelash batting reporters.
You won’t hear about the eloquent one’s many gaffes, self-contradictions, lies, and stammers unless you listen to talk radio or rely on the internet. In a sane society, the intentional misleading of the public regarding the quality, character, and words of a presidential candidate in order to enable the candidate to be elected, might be viewed as wrong. Of course, that would be judgmental and we all know that it is wrong to scrutinize or pass judgment… unless someone makes a suggestion such as babies should be allowed to live, then judgment is acceptable and necessary to stone the infidel that commits blasphemy at the altar of liberalism’s most holy sacrament!
Mark Levin played an enlightening portion of “His Holiness” Saint Barack’s speech in Israel. You aren’t likely to get this from his future Ministry of Information (today referred to as the MSM,) so you could visit National Review On-line to learn about the lies of a savior. At Powerline, John Hinderaker goes through Obama’s continuing contortions (in Israel) over how Jerusalem must remain the undivided capitol of Israel, unless of course it is divided and unless of course it is also the capitol of “Palestine,” which possibilities absolutely positively mark no change in the messiah’s original decree, which he really really meant, that Jerusalem must remain the undivided capitol of Israel. Obama then continued (italics mine):
Now, in terms of knowing my commitments, you don’t have to just look at my words, you can look at my deeds. Just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is my committee, a bill to call for divestment from Iran, as a way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don’t obtain a nuclear weapon.

But Obama is not a member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Obama just made that up so he could count the committee’s action as one of “my deeds.”
Perhaps The Obamination has bought his own hype and he believes that he has already been ordained Supreme Ruler of this downright mean (Michelle’s observation) country of ours. If this is the case, it would make sense that he could call the banking committee his, as all government functions would belong to the being that transcends such small things as a republican form of government.
USA Today lovingly took their candidate to task, albeit in gentle style regarding his refusal to admit that “The Surge” worked. The writer gives credit to the troops and General Petraeus and points out more than once how wrong it was to go to Iraq to begin with before ending with sage advice for “Big Brother” Barry and his opponent:
Perhaps it’s too much to ask that Obama risk being taunted by headlines such as “Obama says Bush was right.” But for the nation to move forward on its single most vexing debate, it would help if the next president could admit the obvious — whether that’s Republican John McCain conceding that it was a terrible blunder to invade Iraq in the first place, or Obama acknowledging that the surge has worked better than he expected.
Americans don’t expect their president to be right all the time. They do expect him to change course when he’s proved wrong.
One really must wonder how awful a candidate Obama must actually be given how close the polls are in spite of his thousands of unpaid campaign staff members in the nations news rooms. Perhaps the eternal candidate can’t be bothered with the details of the office to which he was unfortunately (for his constituents) elected so I will offer the following aid to his highness:

If the dope of hope would refer to the preceding list before he opens his script amplification orifice, he might sound like less of a fool to those of us that actually pay attention. I guess a bright side to an Obama presidency would be that he likely wouldn’t remember which nation he serves. Oh wait, I forgot, Obammmunism is for the entire planet, not just this “downright mean” nation.
