Although I’m sure there are some senators such as former KKK member Robert Byrd (D – WV), who would have liked to own slaves, I suggest no American alive has ever owned a slave and that no American alive has ever been a slave! Slavery was atrocious, but we did not commit the act, so why should we apologize? Apparently the lying-about-my-military-record-because-I-want-to-be-President idiot from Iowa, Tom Harkin wants to make a spectacle out of apologizing for slavery.

From Newsvine:

WASHINGTON — The Senate has unanimously passed a resolution apologizing for slavery and racial segregation and sent the measure to the House.

Iowa Democrat Tom Harkin first introduced the measure years ago but wanted it passed Thursday on the eve of Juneteenth – a day of celebration commemorating the end of the Civil War and the release of African Americans from slavery. He said the House is to take it up soon and that a formal celebration will be held next month in the Capitol Rotunda.

I know our nation requires a show and what better way to provide the show than with a grand apology made by those who never committed the act bestowed upon those who never experienced the act? Will part of the ceremony include one of Barack Obama’s teleprompters (representing his mother’s ancestry, aka whitey) apologizing to the other teleprompter (which represents his father’s ancestry, aka Africans that were not captured by fellow Africans and sold into slavery)? Even if it doesn’t include a half-Obama apology, the celebration will only be historic if Barack and RuPaul play central roles.

Jack Geng sent me his cartoon depiction of the next Supreme Court Injustice, Sonia Sotomayor. This nomination serves as a prime example of the two-faced, biased, and idotic media coverage and lib attitudes regarding appointments to the highest court in the land. If a Republican nominates someone who might follow the Constitution, he or she is to be villified and if possible, destroyed. If a Dem, especially the jerk that has the media in a hypnotic state, makes a nomination, it is automatically beyond reproach!

Before we get to Jack’s work of art, here’s a synopsis of Sotomayor from the Center For Individual Freedom (CFIF).

That sounds like a stupid question… unless you think about the regulations that liberals support in order to perpetuate victim groups and grow their voter bases. Still, it should be a stupid question, because how could mandating racism be justified? Ahh, the wonders of the liberal mind and its associated warping. Consider the following from AP via Brietbart:

Reverse discrimination case could transform hiring.

This week, the Supreme Court will consider the reverse discrimination claim of Marcarelli and a group of white firefighters. They all passed a promotion exam, but the city threw out the test because no blacks would have been promoted, saying the exam had a “disparate impact” on minorities likely to violate the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Besides affecting how race can be considered in filling government and perhaps even private jobs, the dispute also addresses broader questions about racial progress: Do minorities and women still need legal protection from discrimination, or do the monumental civil rights laws that created a more equal nation now cause more harm than good?

As a way of answering the the above question, I offer “duh.” It appears that “civil rights” mandates often demand discrimination on behalf of minorities.

The “promotion exam” is rendered meaningless by the actions of the racist city decision makers. That is, of course, unless the black firefighters weren’t given the same test as their white counterparts. Perhaps the white firefighters were given study materials which were withheld from their black brethren. If neither scenario happened then the black firefighters are being insulted by the city. The action of the city indicates that it believes that black firefighters are not as capable as white firefighters… and in typically grotesque liberal fashion, this insult of black firefighters is for the benefit of the insulted.

Can anyone tell me how the color of a firefighter’s skin impacts his or her readiness for promotion? If it doesn’t, then its use as a determining factor is a racist act in ways that fulfills both definitions of “racism” supplied by my “American Heritage Dictionary”:

racism – 1. The belief that some races are inherently better than others. 2. Racial prejudice or discrimination.

The belief that white firefighters have an unfair advantage on the promotion exam based on the fact that they are white, meets the first definition. The racial discrimination against these white firefighters meets the second.

I am annoyed that the Supreme Court would hear a case involving an issue that should be settled on a local level. (I suppose this state’s rights inclination would lead Janet Napolitano’s DHS to consider me a “rightwing extremist”… I wonder if the appointment of Janets that look like men by the two most recent Democrat presidents is a way of pandering to the transvestite lobby.) There is reason to hope that the court can shed some constitutional sense on the travesties that are racial quotas. At the very least, we might get a good explanation as to how racial discrimination is mandated in the “living and breathing” constitution, as long as it is against white people.

There will never be racial equality as long as liberals use race as a tool for their political purposes. The practice of providing special treatment to groups based on race directly opposes the ideal of racial equality and therefore it is obvious that those who support these quotas and discriminatory policies DO NOT WANT RACIAL EQUALITY! Why would they give up one of their most valuable political playthings?
