I was fortunate to have received the great news from our illustrious Senator Dick (Durbin), having voted in his little poll on the “public option”. Here is the message from Senator Dick:

Dear sam,

We already knew that a majority of Americans support the inclusion of a public health insurance option in the final health care reform bill.

But now that the results of our online poll are in, something else is now clear: the American people who voted for change last November will settle for nothing less than a robust public option.

Over 80,000 people have responded to our poll, proving Americans know the difference between a strong public option and a weak one — and a weak one just won’t do.

Central Illinois 9/12 Gathering – Not Mark Kirk’s ’s Fan Club!

These are the people that Washington politicians use as target practice in their spitting contests. These are the people who served their country. These are the people who work hard to care for their families. These are the people who care about their communities and their faiths. These are the people who Barack Obama would call “bitter” clinging to guns and the Bible. These are real people and real Americans. These are people who are sick and tired of irresponsible government spending and intrusive government policies. These are the people who believe in government “by the people” and “for the people” instead of the Washington D.C. and Springfield, IL ideas regarding government domination of the people.

We gathered on a perfect Saturday afternoon to honor our veterans, past and present. We came together to remember the attacks (which Obama would have us forget) that occurred against innocent Americans on September 11, 2001. We talked of Cap and Trade, Healthcare reform, spending, trade, and the over-reaching irresponsibility of our state and federal governing bodies. We spoke of a document President Obama views as “flawed”, the Constitution.

How to Smear a Liberal Political Figure

Opponents of redistributive “Change” and the subjugation of the productive have been given a lesson in “smearing” liberal political figures. In what seems an odd twist, it was the lib political figures and their rabid propaganda outlets that provided the lesson. It would also appear that the task of “smearing” a modern liberal (Statist cretin) is relatively a simple one given the technology that exists to record and preserve his or her comments and actions. Of course, it is reasonable to expect “Big Brother” Barry to work on the accessibility of information to the general public as his idea of transparency is to tightly control the bits of information that are allowed to be scrutinized.

There is also a lack of consistency among the arms of the Obama Ministry of Truth as they provide this lesson in “smearing”. It is almost as if the shock of having to respond to recognition of the character of an Obama advisor has created confusion within the ministry, itself. Playing a role similar to that of Jiminy Crickett in those old safety films (”I’m no fool, no siree! I’m gonna live to a 103!”) in this particular lesson is Van Jones. The facilitators of the training can’t come to a consensus on the source of the problem with Mr. Jones, but they do show us how to properly execute a “smear campaign”.

Remembering Mary Jo’s Killer

Despite the already frothing campaign to socialize American medicine ought of some sense of debt to the late Senator Edward Kennedy, I choose to memorialize him in a different fashion. After all his real legacy was set on that night in 1969 when he drove off that bridge and left his victim to die. He never should have been allowed to further damage our nation as he has for the last 40 years since his legacy was cemented.

In memory of the killer of Mary Jo Kopekne, I re-post a piece I wrote on my original blog in June of 2007 when President Bush was joining Teddy and McAmnesty in the fight to legalize all those who are here illegally.

DNC and OFA Working to Make America FUBAR

Eli Saslow has a new man-crush. At least the latest object of his swooning isn’t shirtless, thus we are spared the ’sun glistening off chiseled pecs’ as he famously drooled over a wading Barack Obama. While Eli may be taking a break from crushing on “Big Brother” Barry, the new object of desire is at least a hack working on Big Brother’s behalf. You see, in order to win the affection of The Washington Obamost’s resident Barackophile, one needs to be dedicated to “change. Not just any “change” will do for Eli, the worthy “change” must have the end goal of a United States of America that rivals the former U.S.S.R. in communist glory.

Eli apparently likes a devil may care attitude and reckless disregard for the lives of others, as this is how he initiates his tribute:

I suppose despite Jeremy Bird’s narcissistic disregard for the lives of innocent passersby as displayed by his “e-mails sent from his Blackberry while driving 70 mph”, at least he has the sense to take these risks before he and his comrades have realized their noble goal. For those who may not be aware, Bird’s goal is the implementation of socialized medicine, or (as the polling tells the DNC, OFA, and David Axlerod to re-frame it) “health insurance reform”. Eli likes a smart guy and Jeremy is smart enough to know that it is better to be involved in a car accident now than after the rationing starts.

The tyranny of the zero-liability voter has a champion in Jeremy Bird, political hack, as he works to the point of exhaustion to realize the un-American dream of wealth redistribution and healthcare rationing at the benevolent hands of one all-powerful central government.

The Washington Obamost Fires a Rocket in Pelosi’s War

It will surprise no one that has paid attention to the obvious slant (or perhaps plunge off the leftist cliff) of most traditional media outlets, that The Washington Obamost (formerly known as The Washington Post), is doing its part to assist Shrieker of the House Nancy Pelosi in her war. The fact that we have become accustomed to the actions of these media mutations does not lessen the magnitude of their harmful “reporting”.

Think about the object of Pelosi’s war. Consider the potential effects of a Pelosi victory, with the aid of a sorry excuse for a press like The Obamost, over her adversary. How far will the media minions of the left go in their quest to protect Princess Pelosi from her own stupid statements (made between face stretching procedures) and to destroy the intelligence gathering capability of our nation?

Is this the result of the “Woodstock” generation’s rise to power? The Bill Ayers’ (mentor to Obama) of the world are now in positions of educational and political authority. National security or at least the agencies that preserve it are sitting ducks, trapped in the cross-hairs of the leftist hippy freaks that have infested our institutions and given the recent elections, hold unchecked power.

To protect Pelosi with the bonus effect of slamming the CIA, The Obamost proudly endangers our security in today’s “report”, “CIA Used Gun, Drill in Interrogation“. While the reaction of a normal American, to such a headline, might be something along the lines of “Good, they ought to use everything including the kitchen sink, but why the hell is this being reported?”… the sick and twisted left will surely point to these interrogation tactics and demand a further weakening of our defenses.

A Light Look at Barbara Boxer’s Future

In these dark times for American citizens who cherish liberty, there are occasional bright spots. There are, here and there, signs that all may not be lost. One such sign is the re-election contest that involves The Honorable (in title only) Senator from California Barbara “Don’t call me ma’am” Boxer. The defeat of this lefty loon would indeed give hope to a nation that has fallen so far that Barack Obama was able to win the presidency. (Feel free to insert accusations of racism here based on my loathing of Barack Obama’s history, his spoken ideals, and his destructive goals.)

There may be a sympathetic contingent that wonders what will become of the well to do Mrs. “Ma’am” Boxer if she were to be knocked from her throne. Surely she would not suffer financially, but would she find a way to feel useful? Fear not, concerned citizen. “Ma’am” has a bright future in show business, should she choose that path. The roles would come naturally and the studios could even save money on make-up artists.

Study this picture and tell me she is not a perfect doppleganger…

Health Insurance Idiocy

The teetering position in which our nation has been placed by the cumulative effects of leftist education and leftist media (and their impact on the minds of the voters) seems to be near the point of overcoming inertia. If only there were insurance against tipping in the wrong direction. Of course if there were such insurance, it would eventually become the object of the Statist’s lust.

There is so much at stake right now, it is difficult to keep track of it all. This is surely intentional as the liberty quelling benevolence of the big government barracudas is proposed one plan on top of another in such a fashion that opponents (or those who revere the Constitution) are hard-pressed to catch every freedom stealing article. The magnitude of the dire situation is amplified by the witting as well as the witless allies of the government dominance.

An example of the insidious aiding and abetting of the Statist is the framing of the “death panel” concern as simply a matter of Medicare reimbursement for end of life counseling. The media outlets are attacking with such rabid fervor on behalf of “Big Brother” Barry’s outrageous agenda that the very real consequences of comparative effectiveness boards are at risk of being washed out of the public’s view in the spin deluge. How can it be anything but disingenuous (to quote one of Barry’s B.S. tells) “somehow” argue that life and death decisions will not be made by government bureaucrats when some form of comparative effectiveness board or panel is intended?

How About a Comparative Death Panel?

Apparently the use of the two word combination “death panel” by some who don’t see the necessity in “moderating” or PC-baloneying the possible repercussions of Obamacare is taken very seriously by President Obama’s appendages such as The New York Times. The screeching libs and their “moderate” enablers would have the public believe that to say “death panels” are a concern is the same as saying the president’s plan (currently HR 3200 is all we have to go by) specifically uses that terminology. The NY Slimes would have the public discard common sense because references to logical consequences of proposed legislative intrusions do not read the legalize wording verbatim. So if someone such as the threat to the left, Sarah Palin mentions “death panels”, she and anyone who shares her concern are to be disregarded based on the fact that the assessment was not a direct quote.

It is odd that the president’s personal press would take issue with assessments of the bill that do not consist of direct quotes, unless they simply take issue with assessments of “Big Brother” Barry’s bill, since it has been pointed out that the bill’s language cannot even be comprehended by the generators of the bill. Is this not what Monica “I can be bribed” Conyers’ hubby John said at a Press Club event? Apparently members of the House of Representatives (who generated the bill) cannot be expected to read the bill unless they had “two days and two lawyers” to understand what it says. Given the complicated nature of the bill (or the seventh grade reading level of some in Congress), is it any wonder that expressions of concern about the bill would not necessarily consist of direct quotes from its sections?
