Disgusted with the procession of career politicians being paraded as the “best chance for victory”? Had enough of the people that contributed to the budgetary, entitlement, and corruption mess that is the Illinois State government?

If you live in or near Clay County, IL, you can come to the Louisville Community Center to meet the gubernatorial candidate that offers a clean break from the tradition of the tired politician! The following is from fellow Tea Party organizer and concerned conservative citizen, Sally Henson:

Concerned Illinois citizens have an important choice to make on February 2nd, 2010. We must choose the Republican nominee for the United States Senate seat once held, albeit briefly and often in absentia, by President Barack Obama. We must choose from an informed position as opposed to letting apathy or the money of D.C. “moderates” decide who wins the primary. Our choice must be ours, not Senator John McCain’s or the NRSC’s. Our choice, if we want to begin to make a difference should be a Reagan Republican as opposed to an Obama Republican.

We would do well to abandon the flawed yet seemingly permeating logic that suggests that the only way to return this seat to the Republican Party is to avoid Republican values and the Republican Platform. It makes no sense to take issues off the table by nominating one who will share positions with whichever Democrat candidate wins. It makes no sense to support “He Who Must Not Be Nominated” as I and fellow downstate Illinois patriot, Brian Milleville (of www.downstateiladvocate.com) have dubbed Congressman Mark Kirk.

I was perusing the new Demotivators catalog this evening and I saw a poster that perfectly represented the atrocity that is our current crop of political porkers. There can be no plausible denial of the obvious fact that many of what are referred to as our “leaders” (or in Barry’s case, our “reader”) derive inspiration from Marx and believe that Communism simply hasn’t been implemented by the right group of Statists to this point. They view themselves as just the (rotten) crop to bring about the U.S.S.A.

While the Dimocrats currently hold the power and certainly represent the bulk of the problem, our “friends” on the other side of the aisle deserve some recognition for their contributions to the seizure of our liberty! Ridiculous RINOs of varying degrees have conspired with the Dims to support the further redistribution of wealth from the producer to the parasite and the punishment of the productive through catastrophic scams such as Rep. Mark Kirk’s (RINO – IL 10) Cap and Trade (which he was for before he decided he needs to say he is against it for Senatorial campaigning reasons.)

If this bears out and the real Republican, Doug Hoffman, wins the special election will other state Republican Parties or the National Republican Party get the message?

Upfront disclaimer for the whiny know-it-all: Perhaps Barack Obama and The Washington Obamost’s Juliet Eilperin are not from warring families and are not in love (although I am not convinced fair Juliet does not dream of what it might be like to replace RuPaul as First Lady). Therefore, if your delicate intellectual sensibilities are offended by the reference to “Romeo and Juliet”… tough.

Obameo and Juliet, it is safe to say, share a lust for the diminishing of American industry and a desire for cost increases to be borne by American consumers in the name of anthropogenic global warming, er … I mean climate change (Newspeak for the effects the sun on our planet and how Statists can capitalize on the sun’s effects to grow their own power). The motives of these two kindred spirits might be different, however.

Juliet may indeed be primarily driven by the passion of the enviro-nut. She may have been denied adequate hugs as a child and now she seeks to compensate by embracing the trees. She may indeed believe she is using her “journalism” to further the noble goal of saving the planet from the evil polluter/employer. Poor Juliet struggles to rid the world of carbon dioxide (which she refuses to stop exhaling) and must be torn by the knowledge that the war she is waging is to eliminate the basic need of the object of her hugs. She surely dies a little inside every time she sees her written assualts on the food processor of those very same trees, printed on paper… unless she does not know which natural resource provides her with a medium.

Earlier this year I wrote that “Orrin Hatch Should Retire!” because he chose to abuse his position as U.S. Senator and position on the “relevant” committee to hold a hearing because Utah didn’t get to play for the National Championship. Unfortunately, Senator Hatch has not retired and is still seeking to use the power of the United States government to interfere in college football’s BCS. He is taking the case all the way to the top this time. Apparently Senator Hatch thinks “Big Brother” Barry should decree a college play-off system from his global throne high atop Mount Obamus.

My fellow citizens, is this why these buffoons are sent to Washington D.C.? Is the role of the federal government without any boundaries? Does it alarm anyone that a Republican would be seeking such government intrusion? For the record, I don’t like the BCS. Also for the record, I don’t have a suggestion for a viable alternative to the BCS. Most importantly for the record, I know that it is not the government’s damn business to provide a “solution” in a situation such as the BCS!

“But what would you do?” (asked in a crying tone) Well, Mr. Liberal, are we talking about healthcare reform or college football’s National Championship? I get confused when one party says there is a problem then whines that the big government “solution” is the best one, especially when the other side offers no big government “solution”. I would voice my opinionand spend or withhold my own money depending on my position. If I was adamantly opposed to the system, I might refuse to watch the games, purchase NCAA merchandise, buy tickets, etc.

“Gasp! How dare you imply that you, you vile conservative would trust market forces to work?”

Following the recent pander-fest at which “Big Brother” Barry proclaimed his intention to repeal “don’t ask, don’t tell.” I was left thinking about logistical issues that obviously don’t bear consideration by the eloquent reader. Who has time to consider logistics or even the plight of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan when there is a voting block to appease?

I recall April 1989, when I arrived at NTC Orlando for basic training. The men and the women were segregated. I assume there are reasons that men and women do not bunk together in the service and I further assume that sexuality is at least part of those reasons. Have they changed the shower rooms since 1989? When I was in basic training, the shower room was one open room with several shower heads. The men and women did not shower together… once again, I assume sexuality played a role in the set-up of the system.

How will the introduction of openly gay members into the military be handled? Will there be separate companies in basic training for the openly gay? Will they be given private bunk areas? Will they shower at separate times or will the bases and training centers be required to install private showers? The only alternative to these measures would seem to be servicemen and women subjected to showering with open homosexuals. I know the PC police will say it makes no difference if a group of men have to shower with a homosexual (same applies with the women), but I have to ask how it would be different than having straight men and women shower together?

While the state that Barack Obama chose as a stepping stone for his political ascendency (I can’t help but wonder if he followed his buddy/ghost writer/unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers to Chicago from Columbia U) attempts to cope with its liberal induced fiscal mess and the heartburn of the election season, Barackobama.com maintains its assault on liberty. The continuation of “Big Brother” Barry’s campaign, which shall be known here as Organizing Against America (or Organizing for Astroturf) will not let up in its quest. The “change” as given an opportunity by 52.7% of 2008 voters (or the Feckless Fifty-Two) has a limited window, unless the same group of voters can be duped again.

The Alinsky inspired campaign organization must strike and strike… and strike again, lest the opportunity is lost. The radical administration and its cretin counterparts in Congress are attempting to take advantage of the bad times facing many citizens. People are concerned about the financial future of their families and the governing bodies roll out liberty squelching plan after wealth redistributing act. In addition to the mind-numbing frequency of intrusions being made or planned by the federal government, many citizens are distracted by strife related to the mid-term elections. For example, here in Illinois we are being told that only a RINO like Mark Kirk can stand a chance against the admitted Democrat nominee (Giannoulias or a long-shot) in the race to replace Roland Burris. In other words, the Illinois “moderate” hacks and the NRSC money men believe repeating McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign model is the way forward for the citizens of Illinois.

Mad Max Baucus, the healthcare reform Road Warrior, received a favor from the CBO and now appears to be set to Rahm the bill through. Who doubts that Rahm the erstwhile ballerina twisted a few arms after the CBO originally declined to play Obamaball? By the way, if you are inclined to read “the bill” that isn’t a bill when there are criticisms of it, you can read the text “Chairman’s Mark – America’s Healthy Future Act of 2009“. Give a pile of dung a positive sounding title and you are more likely to sell it.

How does the CBO come up with the assertion that the non-bill, bill will not add to the deficit? Well it seems that a little meeting at The White House can go a long way toward giving people a rosy outlook on the future. A little tutu tug by the dead fish sending ballerina/chief of staff and even those tasked with analyzing likely costs can see things in a whole new light.

The CBO now sees that if Obama is followed without question, anything is possible. We can maintain required hydration and never need a rainy day. We can drive endless miles and never incurr a need for maintenance. We can make wishes and expect they will come true. We can assume that employers will continue to provide health insurance benefits despite the incentives to discontinue the practice.

I hope this post sparks debate and results in feedback regarding the subject of government reform in the state of Illinois. Our state government may not be the absolute worst in the union, but it certainly far from accepatble. Unfortunately for the nation, the Chicago disease has metastasized to Washington D.C. with the election of Bill Ayers’ literary partner and fellow education for social justice crusader, Barack Obama.

Illinois activist John Bambenek has proposed The Bambenek Put-Back Amendment. This amendment would bring pretty substantial change to the Illinois Legislature and the process for selecting legislators if passed. Of course the task of achieving passage of an amendment of this nature is bound to be daunting and obstacle laden. What I hope to find out from this post and other inquiries is the following. Is it worth the effort? My initial discussions (which have been very limited) have already raised a concern.
