Good 1984 analogy. You're absolutely right--socialism in its worst shape is coming to America if Obama gets elected.

And the worst part is that many people who will end up voting for Obama, wouldn't know what they are really voting for. They don’t go to the blogs like yours, they don’t read long data-rich threads, they don’t watch scary YouTube kids-singing videos. We keep going down in polls because people listen to the huge propaganda machine–and take that BS at face value. What we need is an arsenal of conversation changers. These attention grabbers that make an impact in 5 sec. And THEN those whose opinions still can be changed may start reading more. Obama’s side if excellent in this. They have pros working around the clock on all sorts of visuals that go straight to the emotions level, bypassing the logic. Just take a look at this site to know what I’m talking about.

Can you name a single memorable anti-Obama poster that speaks to the center-leaning Democratic voter? I can’t. And to expose who Obama really is we need some of that. With my new blog and Facebook page I’ve started a new repository to fill this gap and hope it will take off and will be used and extended by others. Your comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

I broke down in tears in the first 5 minutes of the first debate because it looked to me like McCain was throwing the fight. This time around I am thinking he's either clueless or doesn't want to use the Saul Alinski tactic that works for the left all the time; boil your point into a soundbyte and repeat it ad naseum. Case in point from 1992 "It's the economy stupid". People believed it even as we were set to boom.

McCain said some things which needed to be said, but only once and then went on. He needs to repeat them and keep bringing every related question back to those talking points. The public-educated citizenry learns by soundbyte- they can no longer be left to reason things out by one-off statements of truth.

Cindi,

A previous commenter (on another post) had a good idea, "Palin-Jindal 2012!"

Might be all we can hope for and work toward at this point.

Kate,

I liked some things about Huckabee, especially at first. I still appreciate his stance on social issues, but he would never get my vote for a damn thing following this past primary (and what I have learned about him.)

I would guess that there is a small percentage of media that isn't pushing us over the cliff into Obammunism... only who knows where that small percentage is located?

I so agree with you. I was (an still am) a Romney supporter. He is honorable and decent and sadly, Huckabee's hatered for Romeney's religion and business success was influential. I am saddened by our current choice. We will surely have an Obama Nation, and with Reid and Pelosi, the silver lining I seek just cannot be found. I refuse to vote for ANYONE who is currently in Washington. I do like Palin - but she's attached to someone who has already sold us down the river.

There are some things I like about Huckabee, but he was never presidential material.

This whole time I've been thinking Factcheck.org was one of the few UNbiased sites, and evidently was duped. I just HATE that. Is there any media left that isn't in the tank for Bubba Hussein?
